When I retired my firm organised a really nice leaving party and the string trio were excellent entertainment for the 100 or so guests. The music was a varied and a lovely background for people to mingle and for old friends to catch up with each other. The repertoire seemed to encompass all sorts of music, some of which I had never heard played by strings before. We had light classical pieces, songs from the shows, pop and folk tunes. We even danced to some of the more lively pieces – that was later in the evening after a few drinks ! The trio was just right for my party and I’d like to thank all concerned for putting the tunes together and playing them so beautifully.
I hope I can hear you play again.
